Women’s health is more than gynecology—it’s about understanding the unique ways health conditions affect women. Clear communication and informed decision-making help ensure women receive the care they need at every stage of life.

Jason Rexroth, MD, Medical Director

A graduate of the University of Iowa Medical School, Dr. Rexroth is Board Certified in OB/GYN and a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN and the American College of Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Gynecologists and the International Society of Cosmetic Gynecologists.

Dr. Rexroth founded Innovative Aesthetics in 2006 to provide aesthetic services to the women and men of Eastern Iowa. He is pleased to add medically supervised weight loss to the services already offered by Innovative Aesthetics.

Dr. Rexroth enjoys spending time with his wife Teri, and their three children: Jaxon, Jevon, and Taylor. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding as well as reading and traveling.

Sashi Solomon, MSN, ARNP-BC, Nurse Practitioner

Solomon is a Board Certified Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner. She completed her training as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1996. She subsequently, earned her MSN from the University of Iowa. She holds undergraduate degrees from Drake University and St. Louis University. Sashi was born and raised in Ames, Iowa. She has lived and worked in Cedar Rapids since 1999. Her professional interests include general gynecologic care, contraceptive management, preconception, perimenopause, menopause, and wellness. She enjoys providing care throughout the life span.

Sashi believes in developing professional relationships focused on individual health goals. She is a firm believer in the idea of patients having autonomy and sees her role as a supporter in helping each patient reach their desired health goals and outcomes.

She also believes there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to health care and believes in treating the whole person. Along with a strong gynecologic background and extensive experience in both contraception management and bio-identical hormone therapy.

Sashi and her husband, Dr. Kevin Eck, have two young adult children and one rescue dog. In her free time Sashi enjoys fitness activities, cooking, gardening, and travel.

Trisha Welsh, CNM, ARNP, Nurse Practitioner

Board-Certified Nurse Midwife & Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

Trisha is a compassionate and experienced certified nurse midwife (CNM) and advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) with 17 years of expertise in obstetrics and gynecology. She earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing and her Master’s in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. Trisha is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centered care and embraces the true meaning of the word “midwife,” which is “with woman.” She believes in supporting the whole person, valuing the importance of continuity of care, and working closely with patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

With a strong focus on minimizing unnecessary pain and discomfort during examinations, tests, and procedures, Trisha ensures her patients feel heard, respected, and cared for. She is committed to creating an open, collaborative environment where patients can comfortably discuss their health and understand their treatment plans.

Originally from Wisconsin, Trisha is a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. She is married, a proud mother of five adult children, and a grandmother to six. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and kayaking in warmer months, and cherishing cozy moments with her grandbabies and books during the winter. She periodically tries (and fails) to teach herself crocheting. Trisha also has a deep love for animals, sharing her home with two rescue dogs.

Trisha’s philosophy is simple: she wants every patient to leave their visit feeling heard, informed, and confident in their care plan.

Jessica Keely, Jessica Keely, DNP, FNP-C

Doctor of Nursing Practice-Family Nurse Practitioner Certified

Jessica Keely, DNP, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who recently joined Iowa Women’s Health Center. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Mount Mercy University and brings more than 13 years of nursing experience from her work at UI Health Care, where she worked in urogynecology, gastroenterology, and chronic pain management.

Jessica is deeply passionate about women’s health and is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered, care. She believes in empowering women through education, collaboration, and compassionate support, ensuring each patient feels confident and informed in their health decisions.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Iowa Nurse Practitioners Society (INPS) and remains committed to lifelong learning and strong patient advocacy.

Outside of work, Jessica is happily married and enjoys life with her blended family of five children and two dogs. In her free time, she loves reading, attending concerts, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Sara Olmstead ARNP, Nurse Practitioner

Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

Sara Olmstead is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly 13 years of WHNP experience and a decade of prior work as a labor and delivery nurse. She earned her BSN from the University of Iowa and her MSN in Women’s Health from the University of Cincinnati. Sara specializes in reproductive health, contraception, and gynecologic care and is passionate about providing individualized, compassionate support to women at every stage of life.

Sara grew up in Cedar Rapids and now enjoys life with her husband, Jason, and their three sons. In her free time, she loves reading, gardening, traveling, and keeping up with a busy, active family.

Jessica Jacobson, ARNP-BC, Nurse Practitioner

Jacobson is a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. Jessica comes from a Women’s Health Clinic and prior to that worked for an Internal Medicine Office. She also was an RN for 8 years, mostly in the Emergency Department.

Jessica is married to her husband Jared, and they have twin teenage boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, reading, basketball, and is an Iowa Hawkeye fan.

I’m excited to join Dr. Rexroth and his staff. I look forward to focusing on women’s health and continuing to provide patient centered care.
